Choosing a therapist & Starting therapy....

Reaching out for help can be scary and hard. And sometimes you pick up the phone and you call but then once the appointment is set you get nervous and you are not sure if you want to really go through with it. 

Reality is you are not going to know how it is until you go.... 

So give it a try and just see how you feel in the setting.  A first session with a therapist is just getting to know them and them just getting to know you. 

Sometimes people come and they seem to feel disappointed that at the end of the first hour that something wasn´t resolved for them but often times it is hard to move to resolving something in the first hour during this rapport building phase. However it does not mean that things will not get resolved. Understanding you helps a therapist help you and bring things to your attention but it also creates a safe space for a therapist to bring so ...
